Following the Greeks withdrawing over 800 million Euro from their banks yesterday, the Spanish have grabbed their withdrawal slips, headed for their banks and started removing their money, too. Over 1 Billion Euro out already today.
Personally, I think they could be on to something. If everyone in the world withdrew all their money from the banks on one day, we would soon see some very big changes – and quickly. After all, the cabal-owned banks and moneymen caused this whole money schemozzle in the first place.
Meanwhile, proving that they have indeed voted in a more egalitarian regime, the new French President, Francois Hollande has slashed his government’s pay packets by 30 percent.

A €1billion run on a recently nationalised Spanish bank has sparked further fears that the 17-nation eurozone is about to implode.
European markets fell as fears of a continent-wide contagion from goverment-less Greece’s economic crisis also spread.
Shares in Bankia, Spain’s fourth biggest bank formed in 2010 through a merger of seven struggling regional savings institutions, today plummeted by 27 per cent.
The pan-European FTSE 300 index was down 0.9 per cent at 984.22 points by 10.26.am, close to a four-and-a-half-month low of 983.95 points reached yesterday.
Spain’s benchmark IBEX index fell nearly 2 per cent to its lowest level since mid-2003.
It came following a report in El Mundo newspaper that its customers had withdrawn more than €1billion from their accounts over the past week.
It added to losses incurred yesterday after the European Central Bank said it had stopped providing liquidity to some Greek banks because they had not been successfully recapitalised.
Greece is set to hold fresh elections on June 17 after voters rejected austerity measures imposed on it by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, which has heightened fears it will have to leave the eurozone.
Investors are also worried by the possibility of contagion from a Greek exit from the euro spreading to other countries such as Spain or Italy.
‘It’s not Greece leaving the euro that is the major issue, it’s the domino effect,’ said John Bearman, chief investment officer at British firm Thomas Miller Investment, which manages roughly €3billion worth of assets.
Greece today held a swearing-in ceremony of Coalition of the Radical Left party leader Alexis Tsipras and former Prime Minister George Papandreou.
But their leadership will be short-lived, as their parliament will be dissolved tomorrow so they can arrange new elections.
Concerns over Spain were highlighted by data showing the country had slipped back into recession during the first quarter, while the country’s medium-term borrowing costs rose sharply during a bond auction.
Tensions within the European banking system were also exposed by the fact that key eurozone three-month bank-to-bank lending rates had edged higher today for the first time since the European Central Bank pumped in ultra-cheap, three-year funds in December.
Royal London Asset Management’s European equities fund manager Neil Wilkinson said he had reduced his exposure to financial stocks in recent weeks, as a result of the worsening European debt crisis.
Wilkinson, who manages around £425million worth of assets, said his portfolio was 70 per cent invested in northern European equities markets such as France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with a small amount in Italy and Spain.
Wilkinson said he owned Italian bank Intesa and Spanish pharmaceuticals group Grifols, but was otherwise shying away from stocks in countries such as Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece.
‘The selling pressure is going to continue,’ he said. News of the run came as France’s new President marked his first official day in the office by slashing his ministers’ pay by 30 per cent.
Francois Hollande’s new Socialist government said it was ‘setting an example’ with the symbolic move, aimed at drawing a clear distinction with the previous administration.
Nicolas Sarkozy, voted out of power earlier this month, famously hiked up his pay 170 per cent to €19,000 per month on taking office in 2007.
Senior ministers then said their first concern was tackling the European sovereign debt crisis – and promoting their new boss’s view of shifting the focus from austerity to growth.
Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told news channel BFMTV: ‘The priority is to disentangle the crisis in Europe.
‘I am profoundly European but we need a different Europe, a Europe that is much more focused on jobs.’

It is equally appropriate that while certain people are sneering down their noses at Greece – because it is in such massive debt and may now leave the Euro and because of this, is now causing such “angst” on world markets – many others are applauding the Greeks for taking a stand and not following “orders”.

May 16 (Reuters) – Greece’s president spoke of “fear that could develop into panic” at the country’s banks in the weeks before fresh elections that could precipitate Athens exit from the euro zone.
Greeks are withdrawing euros afraid of the prospect of rapid devaluation if the country leaves the single currency, minutes of President Karolos Papoulias’s meetings with political leaders showed. Greece’s warring parties have refused to form a viable coalition, triggering new elections that could strengthen the hand of opponents of Greece’s EU bailout.
Central bank head George Provopoulos said savers withdrew at least 700 million euros ($894 million) on Monday, the president told party chiefs. “Mr Provopoulos told me there was no panic, but there was great fear that could develop into a panic,” the minutes quoted the president as saying.
“Withdrawals and outflows by 4:00 pm when I called him exceeded 600 million euros and reached 700 million euros,” he said. “He expects total outflows of about 800 million euros, including conversions in German Bunds and other such things.”
The spectre of Greece quitting the single currency sent the euro and European shares to a fresh four-month low on Wednesday and raised the yields on Spanish and Italian debt, reflecting the risk that other European countries will be hurt.
Sources at two Greek banks told Reuters that withdrawals on Tuesday had taken place at about the same rate as Monday and the president’s numbers appeared to be broadly accurate.
Greeks have been withdrawing funds from banks for years, and there has so far been no sign of queues at banks in Athens, but withdrawals at such a pace in two days are unusual.
A senior bank executive said there had been withdrawals but there was no sign of a panic, such as in April 2010 when eight billion were withdrawn just before Greece obtained its first bailout.
According to central bank figures, Greek businesses and households had 165 billion euros on deposit at the end of March, having withdrawn 72 billion euros since January 2010. Experts say some of that was due to capital flight and some due to Greeks eating into their savings because of the crisis.
Opinion polls show that voters enraged over five years of recession, record unemployment and steep wage cuts are likely to elect a parliament as fragmented as the one they chose on May 6. But the vote, probably in mid-June, may well tip the balance of power toward leftist parties opposed to the bailout conditions.
Policymakers from European Union states and at the European Central Bank have warned that they would stop sending Athens the cash it needs to stay afloat if a new government tears up the bailout.
Many Greek voters still hope they can stay in the euro without abiding by the conditions imposed to obtain the bailouts, as promised by Alexis Tsipras, the charismatic 37-year-old leader of the surging leftist Syriza party.
“There is a bit of schizophrenia in our society right now. People want to stay in Europe – have the cake – but they also want to eat it – by attacking the creditors,” said Theodore Couloumbis at Athens-based think-tank ELIAMEP.
“Much depends on whether the Greek people in this repeat election are going to vote with anger and passion or if they will cool off, reflect and see in effect what the real choices are. The choice is between bad and worse.”
Party leaders will meet Papoulias at 1 p.m. (1000 GMT) to put together a caretaker government. It was not clear who would be part of that emergency cabinet, whose main task would be to organise the repeat election – the third in Greece in as many years.
Doesn’t Look Good
Many in Greece pin their hopes on newly elected French President Francois Hollande, who campaigned on a pro-growth platform. Socialist Hollande offered some hope for more flexibility towards Greece on Tuesday, saying after his first meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel:
“I hope that we can say to the Greeks that Europe is ready to add measures to help growth and support economic activity so that there is a return to growth in Greece.”
But despite encouraging comments from the conservative German leader about wanting to see growth, differences remain over how far austerity programmes might be relaxed.
IMF chief Christine Lagarde had earlier in the day joined a string of EU policymakers who have over the past days lifted the taboo of openly discussing the prospect of an exit of Greece from the euro zone. She said it was important to be prepared for that possibility and warned that an exit would be “quite messy”.
European shares fell to their lowest closing level since the start of 2012 after attempts to form a government collapsed. Traders said markets could slump further in the coming days, with fears of a contagion to other crisis-hit EU states including Spain and Italy sending the euro below $1.27.
Patience is wearing thin among EU policymakers exasperated that a country which accounts for barely two percent of the euro zone’s economy should drag the bloc into deep crisis yet again.
“The 16 other governments in the euro zone really are at the end of their patience with Greece. There isn’t room or any willingness to move,” said one official involved in talks over Greece at the European Commission. “The decisions are really in Athens’s hands. But it doesn’t look good.”

The bank will accept the resignation of Ina Drew, its chief investment officer, the person told The Associated Press, speaking on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the decision publicly.
Drew, 55, one of the highest-paid officials at JPMorgan Chase, had offered to resign several times since CEO Jamie Dimon disclosed the trading loss on Thursday, the person said. Pressure built on the bank over the weekend to accept.
At least two other executives at the bank will be held accountable for the mistake, the person said.
The casualties come as JPMorgan, the largest bank in the United States, seeks to minimize the damage caused by the $2 billion loss. Investors shaved almost 10 percent off JPMorgan's stock price on Friday.
Dimon has said the mistake will complicate the efforts of banks to fight certain regulatory changes three years after the financial crisis.

A class-action lawsuit was filed Tuesday against JPMorgan Chase on behalf of investors accusing the bank of misleading shareholders about the $2 billion in trading losses that have roiled the company this week.
Lawyers said the bank did not fully disclose the risky nature of JPMorgan’s trades. The lawsuit alleges the bank falsely told shareholders that its bets on financial instruments known as derivatives were “hedges” that would help the firm offset overall risk in its portfolio. Instead, lawyers say, the bank was betting purely for profit and did not fully disclose how much money the bank had already lost before by the time it held an April 13 conference call with investors.

☆ Everything is going to be alright, Aurora. I know you’re sad. You miss home and you want to be finished, but please don’t worry. Hold fast to your dreams and don’t let anyone or anything discourage you. In the wake of the next full moon, you should see an increase in the number of awakening humans, located in particular sectors of the planet. Which these are, I am not precisely sure. From what information I have been given, this should take place in the more developed lands, which are the places most deeply mired in outdated thoughtforms. This should help to ease the pain you feel in waiting for the transition. So much loneliness there is amongst the Lightholders. It is hard for me to see this, it pains me. I do not understand these foolish ideals of angst and separation. Why do so many human beings dislike each other so? It defies all sense. I recoil at how, for so many, the very first emotion felt upon meeting a new being is distrust. Can they not see this is their Brethren? I have watched our own crew behave this way whilst on the ground. I cannot imagine how it must feel to you to suffer the amnesia, if only in part! However do you bear it?

A former military insider with top secret clearance who created Advanced Theoretical Physics -- a group of top-level government officials and scientists brought together to study UFO reports -- has just called on three of the highest-ranking military and intelligence officials in the Obama administration.
Retired Army Col. John Alexander has one goal: to ask Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus and National Intelligence Director Gen. James Clapper to offer amnesty to anyone in the military who has been previously sworn to secrecy about UFOs.
"The issue has to do with this [notion of] disclosure," said Alexander. "The assumption in the UFO community -- and, frankly, the general population -- is that UFOs are secret and all the information is automatically classified. My position is that is not true."
Revealed exclusively to The Huffington Post, Alexander has sent letters to Panetta, Petraeus and Clapper, in which he proposes a no-cost, win-win solution for enhancing the U.S. government's trust and confidence with the American public. He's specifically referring to Unidentified Flying Objects.
A leading advocate for the development of non-lethal weapons, Alexander commanded Special Forces "A" Teams in Vietnam and Thailand in the 1960s. As a program manager for Los Alamos National Laboratory, he conducted non-lethal warfare briefings for the White House staff, National Security Council, members of Congress and senior defense officials.
"My supposition is that A) there's no policy of [UFO] secrecy; and B) there are agents out there who think they're supposed to keep it a secret, so they're basically winging it. In other words, it's easier to tell you to sit down and shut up then it is to figure things out," Alexander, author of "UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies and Realities," told HuffPost.
Alexander spent a quarter of a century maneuvering through top levels of the U.S. government and military, searching for the supposed decades-long UFO cover-up.
Not only could he not find a cover-up, Alexander came away from his investigation convinced UFO disclosure has already occurred on many levels.
The conclusions that his study group came up with in the 1980s included:
- Some UFOs are real and of unknown origin.
About 5 percent of all sightings remain unexplained.
Many sensor systems do have anomalous recordings.
There are numerous UFO sightings reported by highly credible observers.
There have been incidents involving interactions between UFOs and military systems.
There have been interactions between UFOs and airplanes that raise safety issues.
Over 70 percent of American adults believe the U.S. government is covering up information on the topic.
Polls indicate that 20 percent of the global population believes aliens are here on Earth and living among us. Alexander will publicly announce his amnesty request to the government this Thursday, when he appears at the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, Nev.
The museum is the 37th and newest national museum of the United States. It tells the story -- in an in-depth walking tour -- of nuclear testing for America's atomic energy program, which began in the Nevada desert in 1951.
Interestingly, this is a Smithsonian-affiliated museum that includes a recently unveiled exhibit about Area 51 -- considered the most top secret military testing facility in the country -- and contains UFO-related displays, including one entitled "Authentic Alien Artifact."
Museum CEO and executive director Allan Palmer says it's important to have Alexander speak about the need to get the word out to military personnel who would like to talk about UFOs but have been reticent for many years.
"I have known people who've seen things they couldn't explain and were very reluctant to talk to anybody about it," Palmer, a highly decorated former Air Force and Navy combat jet fighter, told The Huffington Post.
"The reason is because we all had very high-level security clearances," he said. "Just the mention of seeing something that you didn't know or you thought might be a UFO would be enough for a visit with the flight surgeon, if not the psychiatric staff at the base hospital.
"And that would be reason to pull your security clearance, at least temporarily, which means that you wouldn't be flying and that would be a black mark on an aviator's record. Seeing a UFO show up on your base could be perceived as [your] being unstable. At least as far as retribution or career penalties, if things could be lifted or suspended, that would probably help the process."
In the letters sent to Panetta, Petraeus and Clapper, Alexander states that former military personnel "claim that they are bound by security oaths to never reveal the information or have been overtly threatened by government officials. Even death threats for divulging UFO information are reported."
Alexander points out to the three government officials that occasionally "some level of secrecy has been invoked on U.S. military personnel." He cites the case of Air Force pilot Milton Torres who was ordered to fire missiles at a gigantic UFO that appeared over Great Britain on Sept. 20, 1957.

"He was ordered to remain silent," Alexander reminded the officials. "Threatened with losing his wings by an unknown official, Torres complied until the U.K. Ministry of Defense released the files in 2008. No U.S. report on the incident has ever been found. From many other instances, it appears that security personnel periodically have warned/threatened both military and civilian people about reporting UFO information."
Alexander isn't looking to get the government to reveal that some UFOs may be extraterrestrial craft. He only wants to promote an environment in which members of the military feel comfortable talking about their experiences.
If an official letter of amnesty were to come from Alexander's efforts, he suggests the results could go in a couple of directions.
"I would think there'd be some who have information and believe they shouldn't talk about it who would then feel free to do so," he explained. "Conversely, I think there are some others who've been frankly making up stories and saying they have been threatened that will then either have to come forward and explain it or, more likely, will evaporate and run for cover."
